Born in Brighton in East Sussex, England, I lived and worked in Sussex until 2015. In 1987 I found a beautiful old farmhouse up a mountain near Paciano in Umbria, Italy which started as a holiday home but over the years I have spent more and more time there. I now live in Italy permanently with my husband Barnet Boy, two dogs and a menagerie of cats.
Awarded Best Photopainter 2015 by CQ Magazine, through the use of colour I promote life, work and energy balance. I specialise in photo art also known as photopainting. I use my own photographs and then manipulate the images to enhance colours, add textures and create a mood – turning them into pieces of beautiful art. In August 2016 I was selected as an Artsy Shark featured artist with an article exploring my approach to my art work. They called my work “memerizing and beautiful“. I am a member of the Healing Power of Art and Artists Gallery.
All of my images have a message or mood I am trying to get across. Each piece is developed to contribute to the balance and harmony of your home or workplace with the careful selection of colour. Some images are designed for hotel, hospital and care settings; others for bars and nightclubs.
I have various collections based on geographic places such as Umbria, Venice and Tuscany in Italy, Brighton and London in the UK and Copenhagen in Denmark. As well as my healing art work, I have a range of nautical and seascape images, as well as florals, animal portraits, buildings and structures and a quirkily named ‘Everyday as Extraordinary’ collection comprising everyday items presented in unusual ways.
I accept commissions and I have an art blog that I post to every Monday and Friday providing an update on my latest work.
