The sea is a constant inspiration from tiny prints to huge energetic waves on canvas. My work aims to describe the form and feeling of a wave, rather than depicting the sea in paint.
I also love to paint simple household objects such as rusty enamel jugs which are usually painted life-size.
Works on paper use a variety of different media including watercolour, screen and monoprint.
About me
Originally from Cheshire, I did a Foundation Course in Corsham, and a BA(Hons) degree in Fine Art in Lancaster.
My first exhibition was a sell-out show at the Serpentine Gallery in London. Since then I have exhibited my work in numerous galleries and non-gallery spaces and take part in Open Studios twice a year.
My studio is also open to visitors at other times, just ring the doorbell...
