Hello and welcome. Thank you for taking the time to explore and discover my work.

I am a contemporary mixed media artist painting a variety of subjects in an expressionist style; landscapes, coastal scenes, seascapes, flowers, sunsets, trees, woodland and abstracts.

Many have described my work as atmospheric; incorporating light, movement and a touch of mystery. You are invited to engage your imagination and experience that feeling of ‘being there’.

The Cornish countryside where I live is surrounded by the windswept wild moorland and wonderful craggy coastline. This along with Cornwall’s heritage provides endless inspiration.

Each day I walk through ancient woodland accompanied by my faithful dog. Here I collect much of the material, for example leaves, ferns, lichen and seeds, that I use to create the texture in my work. These organic items are complemented by texture pastes, papers, gold leaf and much more.

Once the texture is in place I use acrylic inks to introduce colour into the painting. I love their vibrant jewel-like colours and the way the detail of the texture magically appears once they’ve been applied.

My paintings very often develop organically as the interaction between the inks and the texture can influence the way the painting progresses; each one is unique.

You have an eclectic range of paintings to choose from ; they are available in many different sizes and prices on board or stretched canvas.

You can also choose from a select range of prints and cards.
