Naomi Blayney is an artist based in Durham in the North East of England. She specialises in pen and ink drawings of landscapes and architecture. Many of her drawings, which are extremely detailed and drawn using a very fine pen, are reproduced as fine art open and limited edition prints as well as on coasters, placemats, cards and other gifts. Some of her work is black and white, other images are in colour or muted colours. Recent work includes drawings of Durham Cathedral and Castle, Newcastle's Tyne Bridge, St. Mary's Lighthouse in Whitley Bay, the Tommy soldier sculpture in Seaham and the Angel of the North.
A great deal of patience is required to produce the fine detail in Naomi’s pen and ink drawings. She enjoys the tranquillity it brings; a welcome break from the chaos of life with two young children. Naomi can be find whiling many an hour away in her studio at home in County Durham. The North East of England is full of inspiration.
Naomi exhibits regularly and occasionally teaches drawing workshops for beginners. For more information visit her website www.nbfineartist.com.
