I am an intuitive, experimental artist inspired by nature and its expression on the landscape through the play of light and the cyclical rhythm of the seasons.
I live and work from my studio in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the Chilterns in Oxfordshire, England and get most of my inspiration from the surrounding countryside.
I am well known for my atmospheric acrylics on canvas and luminous watercolour paintings using many experimental techniques.
Currently I am working on a series of stylish contemporary paintings 'bringing the outdoors inside' by amalgamating English landscapes with my favourite teapots, jugs, flowers, ephemera and British wildlife. There is a sense of quiet harmony between the healing power of nature and the inner sanctuary of hearth & home depicted in the paintings which has resonated deeply with many of my customers and has made it a much loved and successful series
I also paint smaller expressive watercolour landscapes, flora and fauna using traditional and contemporary watercolour techniques which I teach my students to help them step out of their comfort zones and re-connect with their creative selves.
I have exhibited and won awards nationally and internationally in the USA and the UK and have paintings in private collections worldwide, I am also a member of the prestigious Oxford Art Society.
