Born in North West London in 1973, Sarah spent her early childhood in South Wales by the sea before returning to Middlesex and eventually settling in St Albans. Growing up, she spent many hours with her Grandparents who were a Photographer and an allotment keeper and a seamstress respectively, which had a profound impact on her imagination from an early age.
After completing her studies at University, Sarah was offered her first solo Exhibition by Watford Area Arts Forum at the renowned Palace Theatre. During this time, she also met her partner, Wildlife Photographer Andy Sands, and together they participated in many solo and joint Exhibitions, selling her work at various exhibitions including The Spring Fair, N.E.C, Birmingham, The Ideal Home Exhibition in London, The Antiques for Everyone Exhibition in Birmingham, Obsidian Art in Buckinghamshire, and Art at 88 in Berkhamsted. Her work has found a place in many private collections, including The Weatherspoon Collection.
Nature and the environment have always been Sarah's inspiration, and she sources her ideas from local walks, bike rides, and short trips. Sarah's deeper understanding of Photography began after she and her partner bought the Chiswick Camera Centre in West London in 2005. This experience allowed her to experiment with different elements of photography such as texture, color, and composition, and in 2010, she received her CPAGB and joined the Judges circuit.
Sarah was blessed with a baby girl in 2012, and with limited time looking after her business and family, she has recently returned to her passion for painting.
