I sculpt life figures out of wood, stone, and metal. I use angle grinders, die grinders, chisels and rifflers( small files used on marble) I prefer to hand sand my pieces to get the finished look I want. I enjoy sculpting 3/4 to life-size figures of ballerinas, gymnast, and other dancers. I also like to carve large wildlife such as lions wolves, tigers and wild horses. Recently I have been commissioned to portrait bust for a college and private customers.
I enjoy finding a large tree limb that is so curved or even decade you would not think that it could be used for anything but it make the most beautiful work of art.
I prefer to carve black walnut or maple wood, marble, and granite stone.
