My work encompasses a diverse range of processes and styles often incorporated within a single image. My intention is to create tensions between contrasting visual elements often by using discarded packaging materials. I also explore form, space and texture in a three-dimensional context using a variety of materials.
In most of my artwork, there is an element of instinctual gestural expression and self-discovery which I find exciting and rewarding. My aim is to create atmosphere and feeling through purely abstract means.
After gaining an Honours Degree in Fine Art at New College Stamford under the auspices of Lincoln University in June 2010, I was awarded the winner of Art for Rutland Prize.
