My mosaic art is mostly figurative although I have created some abstract pieces. I have worked with schools and take private commissions as well as public ones. I use hand cut stained glass, vitreous glass and ceramic tiles as well as found objects (recycled jewellery, stones etc). I love colour and use a rich palette. I create my own designs but I am happy to work from a client's design. My school projects have been a mix of designs by children which the students have then put together, (with my help) and designs by the children which I then translate into the finished piece. This way I can offer the mosaic experience to very young children.
I love to experiment with unusual substrates and 3D pieces.
I run workshops and I am happy to bring the mosaic experience to diverse groups of people from children's groups to adult workshops as team building experiences.
