Ben Askem was born in Watford, Hertfordshire in 1977.
He is primarily known for his oil on canvas works and his unique 'Reflections' metal series - contemporary, mixed media artworks on sheet metal which have been extremely well received.
Subjects include portraiture, cityscapes such as London and New York and many pop culture references.
He works to commission around 75% of the time and does not charge any premium for doing so.
Ben opened is his working studio and gallery at 16 High Street, St Albans in 2006 and can be found there Tuesday - Saturday, 9:30am - 5pm.
