I am a contemporary painter and have been producing work consistently for over 30 years. I work predominantly in oils and acrylics but also enjoy pastels. Landscapes, the sea, sunsets and large dramatic skies have become almost a trademark for me and this inspiration is largely due to living on the island of Guernsey surrounded by sea and beautiful beaches. However, in recent years I have been drawn to abstract work and love the spontaneity and freedom of expression it allows.
I have exhibited locally for over 20 years and was delighted to be invited to exhibit my work on a permanent basis with Davis & Co in Spring, Houston, Texas until they sadly closed the gallery in 2015. In April 2014 I won an international competition with 'Kaleidoscope.' This was included in the marine issue of American Art Collector in June 2014. In June 2015 I was invited to take part in a joint exhibition at Brick Lane Gallery in London.
After holding a solo exhibition locally this led to a wonderful opportunity to paint all the artwork for a yacht several years ago and enjoyed every minute of it.
In December 2024 I held a solo exhibition at the National Trust Gallery, Sausmarez Park, Guernsey which was a wonderful experience.
I love what I do and can't imagine my life without it quite honestly.
