Trisha Lambi is an award winning figurative and landscape/seascape artist known for her boldly sensuous and evocative oil paintings. Of her work, Lambi says 'Light and its effect on form is my inspiration and whilst I don't particularly aspire to convey a conscious emotion in my work it seems to emerge of its own will'.
Her latest work includes the highly successful Umbrella Series which focuses on the figure with umbrella in landscape, creating hauntingly moody pieces as well as cheery sunny beach scenes. As well as this series she continues her work in exploring the female form in her boldly executed nude series. She is also a sought after portrait artist and is available for commissions.
She has exhibited widely in Australia and internationally. Highlights of her career include her selection to represent Australia at the 2006 and 2007 Guangzhou Art Fair in China and her selection as a finalist in the 2012 Art Taipei International Competition. She was selected as a Zone winner in the London Olympics 2012 Art Show which ran for the duration of the Olympics Games. An artist to look out for as her works continues to deliver a fresh perspective on contemporary figurative painting.
