As a contemporary artist, the mediums I’m concentrating the most on, are acrylic painting, photography and digital photo collages. My paintings vary. Some are pure abstract, some are geometric abstracts, some are surrealistic, and some are realistic. There are bold colored paintings including red, yellow and blue, and there are more subdued and softer color palettes also. Their sizes range from fairly small, to very large.

With my photography, you can tell how much I love Santa Cruz, CA by my photographs and collages. For my photo collages, I use two photographs and make an abstract, new piece of art. I strive to create exciting ways to view familiar scenery. My desire is to present colorful and aesthetically pleasing abstract views of famous landmarks and beautiful settings, mainly here in Santa Cruz County.

My photographs have been on the cover of the Santa Cruz County Bar Association’s Membership Directory, for the last three years in a row.

Two of my photo collages “Springtime Casino” and “Red Flower Lighthouse” were chosen to be included in the “Hidden Treasure Art Magazine Yearbook 2015”.

Recent happenings include: In March 2016, my mixed media painting “Springtime” was on exhibit in the juried art show “Fur, Feathers and Fins” at the Pacific Art League in Palo Alto, CA. My Santa Cruz photo collages were on display at the Om Gallery in Santa Cruz during the month of August 2016. And in October 2016, my paintings and photo collages were exhibited at Nut Kreations, also in Santa Cruz. From October 22 – November 13, 2016, my acrylic painting “Descent Into Madness (with Purple Hope)” was on display at the Santa Cruz Art League in the juried art show called “Energy & Stillness: A National Abstract Exhibit”.

I’m honored to have had many past awards over the years. Also, in the “Guide” section of the Santa Cruz Sentinel May 30 – June 5, 2013, I was one of the featured artists. The newspaper article can be seen toward the bottom of the last page in my Blog, on my website at:
