As a contemporary artist, the mediums I’m concentrating the most on, are acrylic paintings, and my Santa Cruz inspired photography and digital photo collages. I’ve always loved art and the creative process needed to produce it! In 1995 I started taking art classes at Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA, which is located in Santa Cruz County, CA (USA). Santa Cruz is one of the most beautiful places in the world, which helps fuel my imagination. As with most artists, I started with a drawing class. From there it led to many more art and photography classes. I continue to go back to Cabrillo College, whenever I feel the creative need to do so.
Over the years, I have won numerous awards at the Santa Cruz County Fair and have had my work chosen to be in many juried art shows. I have also been honored to have had my artwork featured in four solo exhibitions over the last couple of years.
My photographs have been on the cover of the Santa Cruz County Bar Association’s Membership Directory, for six years in a row.
I'm currently a member of the Santa Cruz Art League.
My desire is to present colorful and aesthetically pleasing works of art. With my acrylic paintings, I do both nonrepresentational and geometric abstract pieces of art. And with my digital photo collages, I offer new and different ways to view famous landmarks and beautiful settings, mainly here in Santa Cruz County.
