Pamela was born in Newcastle-on-Tyne, England, in 1945. A classically trained contemporary artist, she received most of her training in Europe in the 1960s and 70s. Working in oil, using mostly palette knife, her earlier work was a series of sensitive, illuminating abstracts. Later she embarked on a popular series of large canvas portraits of international celebrities.
In 2000, working in oils, she launched into a spiritual and creative search which emanated in an extensive series of bold, colour-filled tree paintings. More recently Pamela has returned to her abstract roots and has produced some of the most powerful and exciting work of her career.
