Mary has enjoyed photography for many years, concentrating on B&W images, shot on film, which she processes herself before printing onto fibre-based paper. She concentrates on simple still-life, mixing the organic with the non-organic. The shape and texture of the objects fruit or flowers, and the relationship to each other in the final image are very important. Mary has studied photography at the University of Hertfordshire and gained her ARPS a few years ago.
Although remaining with the still-life subject, Mary is exploring the use of colour with a digital camera and learning how to produce exhibition-quality digital prints.
