Lisa Marder

I am a landscape painter, writer, and teacher. My paintings reflect the diversity of the New England landscape, including scenes of marshes, lakes , ocean, woods, mountains, and fields. Light provides the inspiration, creating contrasts of color and value that evoke a certain time and place, or transform the ordinary into something that evokes awe, or provides a moment of grace.  Most of my paintings are in acrylic, some are also in oil. My paintings range in size from small to large (4’x6′), with many in a midrange size near 24″x30″. I paint on canvas, paper, wood, or masonite. More of my work can be seen on my website at Commissions are welcome.
