Kal Flynn is a painter who studied illustration at the Harrow School of Art. Her work is inspired by nature; focusing mainly on landscapes and flowers. She is a member of the Artists' Network Bedfordshire.
Most of her work is produced on site; so that she can see the subtleties in both colour and light. She enjoys using oils and acrylic; prefering to apply oil colours with palette knives; giving an almost impasto finish which is both rich in colour and texture. By contrast, her acrylic paintings, painted with small brushes, are much more defined.
Each painting not only represents the scene, but also what that day felt like; the weather and the experience of actually being there.
