My work is inspired by nature in all its forms; from a close-up of a flower petal to paintings of birds in highly decorative backgrounds. I have recently become interested in the symbolism of things and has incorporated these references into my paintings using the written word.
Colour is an important part of my work and I paint vibrant, richly coloured canvases portraying the dramatic impact of form, colour, texture and scale which become apparent when observing a flower or plant at close-range. My ‘Flower’ series of paintings features close-range images on dark backgrounds which emphasise their energy and strength.
All paintings are acrylic on canvas and range in price from around £200 to £1,200.
