I create original handmade ceramics, using white and red earthenware clays with colour slips and glazes, all my work is built and decorated by hand, to produce unique handmade crafted pieces. After returning to Ireland I have been working in Gorey, County Wexford on the south east coast of Ireland for the last eight years as a ceramic artist producing handmade ceramics. The unique style of the decoration is influenced by both ancient Celtic imagery and the shapes and bright colours of nature's plant and fauna life around us. What challenges and excites me is to explore and create new ideas. The creative idea, working with natural raw materials and the pure joy of making combine to produce those very unique creations we are so fortunate to have the opportunity to accomplish.
