Artist Bio

I am a professional photographer with 25 years of commercial photography experience, mainly in the area of landscape photography, fine art, publishing, architectural disciplines and property photography. I worked for eight years as a Deeside Piper press photographer. My published work is in photography magazines, calendars, postcards and books with some academic work published in the area of travel photography and use of flash in photographing artwork. My work can be seen in my online library at Crooktree.com as well as with online stock libraries Alamy, Quality Prints UK and Collections.

My landscape work mainly features Aberdeenshire and Morayshire in North East of Scotland. I have a specialist collection of Egypt mainly Ancient sites from Alexandra, Cairo, along River Nile to Abu Simbel. This collection covers most pyramids, most of the temples such as Karnak, Luxor, Ramasseum, Edfu, Philae with tomb paintings, including some in Valley of the Kings. Other subjects include desert, agriculture, farming, River Nile scenes and modern street scenes.

I have one of the largest British libraries of Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights photos taken on Royal Deeside over 25 years. This Spaceweather event occurs periodically and is most visible during winter nights and since 1989 I have photographed over 350 displays.

Commissions can be undertaken where practical and image files of my work can be purchased for third party printing, or prints can be supplied as required.
