I am a nationally published illustrator and portrait artist having produced award winning illustration for national advertising agencies, corporations, book and magazine publishers and producers of world famous collectibles for over forty years. My style is very realistic and my subject matters cover a very wide range: portraits, figurative and montage illustration. These include famous people in history, entertainment: films, recording stars, movie actors and actresses, sports, religion and politics. I also do glamour and pinup illustration. I have won numerous art awards both in the U.S. and Europe in illustration, fine art and portrait competitions. A listing of recent awards can be found on my official website: www.dickbobnick.com
My principal medium is Gouache on illustration board. I work extremely well with art directors and private clients. I prepare a working pencil comp for approval before any finished work begins. In most cases I do extensive research on my subjects unless the client provides that reference for me. My clientele over the years is quite extensive. A complete list is available on my official website: www.dickbobnick.com
Most of my originals are for sale as I retain all original art that I create unless a client chooses a "buyout" in which the client pays a higher fee and takes ownership of the original painting. In the case of private portrait commissions the client obviously retains the finished art. I also maintain a print website for museum quality Giclee prints of my originals. That particular print site is: www.dickbobnick.artistwebsites.com My fees vary greatly depending on the client, the subject matter, whether it is a one time publication or multiple publications over a period of time, single or multiple venues: magazines, posters, billboards, newspapers, point of purchase posters, books or prints. I always meet my deadlines. I accept Email and phone commissions and I work with a personalized version of the Graphic Artists Guild contract. I accept any and all inquiries regarding subject matter, style, timing and pricing on new commissions or the Giclee prints I offer on Fine Art America. My studio is in Burnsville, Minnesota, U.S.A . My Email address is: [email protected] and my U.S. phone number is (952) 890-6984.
