After graduating from Bristol Polytechnic and restlessly travelling, I eventually settled in the famous artistic community of St Ives in Cornwall. I am known for my figurative, acrylic paintings of dune scenes around beaches local to my home. A soft yet sunny palette is used to capture happy, warm summer memories. Alongside running my own studio/gallery for the past 22 years, I supply other galleries across the country although, sadly, a number of these have had to close their doors so I am attempting to increase my on-line presence which is not easy for a luddite like me in her early 50's! I am lucky enough to be represented by a couple of agencies who sell and promote my work internationally and to national chain stores which helps pay the bills and with exposure to my work. Consequently, my work has fans and collectors all over the world.
More recently, I have developed a range of semi-abstracts which tour large communal areas of banks and other municipal offices throughout Europe. Right now, I am bringing to market a range of work in carved plaster and plaster of Paris reliefs, all based on the colours and subjects which surround and inspire me everyday.
