As a painter, I have always been influenced by the technicolour picturesque of printed imagery produced during the first half of the 20th Century. Always drawn to wide open blue skys and scenes of intrigue or great swaths of not much going on. At the same time the work is methodical, studying light, colour, tone, brushwork etc to create hopefully, a little gem of entertainment.
They are not usually large paintings, A3 or smaller and mostly watercolour and I intend to do some oils this year, again, small pictures.
I have sold many paintings, some of which travelled across the world.
My current portfolio includes views of where we have travelled recently, Sorrento, Capri and Ravello in Italy, Amsterdam, Lisbon and also local views of around Oxford where we live.
