Di Spalding

Since graduating from Exeter College of Art in 1984 with a degree in Fine Art, Di Spalding has worked predominantly as a scenic artist – painting sets and backcloths for the Royal Opera House, English National Opera and Scottish Ballet amongst others. She also paints murals.

She has recently turned her hand to making sculptures in wire in between her scenic commissions. These range from cats and hares to deer and horses. All are made from galvanised steel wire and will last for many years outside. She usually has a variety of sculptures available for sale or is happy to undertake commissions. Prices range from around £150 for a small sculpture, £500 – £2500 for the larger ones.
