I am a decorative artist, painter, mural and illustrative artist. I currently paint contemporary artwork using metal leaf, 23 carat gold and mother of pearl shell. These are used in conjunction with rabbit skin gesso to produce vivid, jewel like artwork some semi abstract and some representational. I like to use birds, wildlife , blossom , flowers and fauna in my art. I work with interior designers on art commissions, murals, finishes and furniture. I specialise in traditional chinoiserie and japanese work with a very western and often modern twist.. I try to use the best quality materials possible. Although I use dutch metal leaf and aluminium I often use genuine silver and 23 carat gold leaf and real semi precious mother of pearl shell . My work is vibrant and bold but very peaceful and calming. I try to bring a bit of light into a room and i hope people lives. You can see my work online, in galleries , in hotels and private homes.
