I trained at the Royal College of Art and currently live in London. My work has evolved from large abstract paintings to
a much more figurative style with a particular interest in light and the creation of space. Although the work is figurative it still has to work on an abstract level in terms of balance and design.
I have had several one man shows and exhibited widely in mixed exhibitions both here and abroad. These include the International Art Fair in Los Angeles, the London Art Fair Islington, the International Art Fair Salzburg, the Royal Academy, the Whitechapel Art Gallery, The Laing Art Exhibition, the Singer and Friedlander Watercolour Competition, the New English Art Club, and the Piers Feetham Gallery.
Commissions have included two large oils of Rufford Abbey for the council chamber in Nottingham. I was artist-in-residence at Garsington opera for the 2006 season.
The Art Archive at holds approximately ninety high quality images of my work and the Bridgeman Art Library thirty images.
Some of my paintings are available in postcard format from Towell and Scott.
