Phil Madley

I am a professional encaustic wax artist painting in a mainly contemporary abstract style with a twist. Paintings vary in size. Floral, abstract, cityscapes, geometric, sometimes with a sense of humour but always with a sense of passion. Sometimes bright and cheerful, sometimes moody and mysterious. Metallic silver waxes are often used. Great ideas are the most important element – Innovate don’t imitate.

I have been working using encaustic wax for over fifteen years a technique that dates back to the early Egyptians and I also do talks and demonstrations to art societies throughout England. All my work is original and produced in encaustic wax using various techniques.
