Contemporary, stylish acrylic paintings with bold colours, abstract shapes, music notation, classical guitar themes, lettering and still life studies feature in my recent artworks shown here. I studied graphic design at art college, then went on to do a drawing, painting and portraiture course at The Heatherley School of Fine Art in London, where I was very lucky to be tutored by the portrait artist Suzi Malin.

Music has always been an important part of my life and I play classical guitar, so in my latest work I am introducing some connections to my musical interests. I like the look of the early romantic Lacote style guitars, they seem to have such character and I would love to own one myself, but for now I just enjoy drawing and painting them.

I am currently exploring various ideas and subjects using acrylics, incorporating dark and bright colours to compliment each other, sometimes taking musical notation and lettering to expand the subject matter. I use abstract shapes, contemporary colours and sometimes introduce a little humour along the way. Blue is a colour that will always be prominent in my work and graphite pencils or coloured crayons are my favourite mediums to work with.

I have sold drawings and paintings regularly over the years, many featuring in private collections around the world including, Australia, Canada, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Sweden and USA.
