Linda Beattie

Contemporary acrylic paintings, abstract shapes, pencil drawings, music, classical guitars, still life.

I studied graphic design at Fine Art at North Wales School of Art & Design, followed by drawing, painting/portraiture at The Heatherley School of Fine Art in London.

A career in Graphic Design has influenced my style of painting and drawing. Bold, flat colours appear alongside areas painted with a strong attention to detail. In contrast, I also paint using a limited palette of colours to simplify the image, therefore encouraging viewers to use their own imagination.

I play classical guitar and my latest paintings include musical references and feature Lacote style guitars.

Pencil and coloured crayons are my favourite mediums to work with. While in contrast, I enjoy the various  textures and depth that painting can express.

If you are looking for something a little different, then you have found it.

My drawings and paintings feature in many private collections around the world including:  Australia, Canada, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Sweden and USA.
