I  paint Landscapes and Seascapes in oil and my style lies between Impressionism and Naturalism. Discovering the Isles of Scilly  defined my practice as an artist . It was here I found the smallest gap between Heaven and Earth; the light is unique and inspiration lies at every corner of these enchanted islands.  I want to portray to the viewer a sense of Beauty, Time and Place where the ebbing tide is a constant reminder of our  transient passing.   I have taken part in the International Sketch Book Project where my little book on Scilly and another on Mountains has taken up permanent residence in the Brooklyn Art Library New York.

My passion for iconic landscapes  extends to the Lake District, the Greek Islands and lately the Far East. My latest Solo Exhibition at A la Ronde National Trust  Gallery featured special landscapes of the West Country. I have exhibited around the world with the Twitter Art Exhibitions and my sketchbooks are on show at the Brooklyn Art Library in New York. As a founding member of the Exe Valley Artists in Devon, I enjoy working  with other artists on a number of projects. I have a fine selection of cards and prints from my paintings which can be found in a number of Devon Galleries and on my website.  I have also created a series of watercolours of sail boats, sea and sky. These are currently selling well.  I often  take on commissions for a  favourite view or special place where I can work from a client’s photos if I am unable to visit the place in person. So far  the Isles of Scilly have been the most popular subject. In 2016 I was commissioned to paint the Honeymoon destination of Bora Bora in the South Pacific. Wonderful!

I was delighted to be selected for an exhibition of Devon Artists showing their work in 2016 at Prospero House, London.
