This body of work has arisen through an extended period of investigation into contemporary weaving, printmaking and natural dyeing techniques, using materials such as natural indigo, beeswax and plaster. I have been considering ideas of permanence and impermanence through eco bundle dyeing processes on cotton voile, incorporating beeswax and plaster.

My interest in concealing and revealing layers in my work led me to experiment with homemade wax medium recipes to increase the translucence of my printmaking works, which combine woodblock prints and indigo vat dyeing, on Japanese handmade washi.

Natural indigo was also used to produce a small set of weaving samples on hive frames, where I experimented with ikat techniques on linen and hemp.
